In yesterday’s Marathi Shala session, our focus remained steadfast on nurturing the linguistic skills of our young scholars while gearing them up for upcoming assessments. Here’s a detailed recap of the enriching experiences from Batch 1 and Batch 2:
Batch 1:
The morning commenced with eager faces arriving promptly around 10 am, as the shala bell resounded through the corridors. Led by the seasoned educator, Teacher Amita Ji, the session kicked off with an invigorating warm-up activity. Following this, we collectively recited the revered Gurur Bramha Gurur Vishnu prayer, setting the tone for a spiritually enriched learning journey. Amita Ji then engaged the students in a comprehensive recapitulation of Marathi Swar and Vyanjane, culminating in the introduction of the elusive ‘य’ (y) and ‘र’ (r) sounds.
In an interactive segment, the students delved into the realm of colors in Marathi, as the teacher quizzed them on the hues adorning their attire. This engaging exercise not only reinforced vocabulary but also fostered a sense of participation and camaraderie among the learners. The session concluded with the customary attendance, ensuring everyone’s active involvement till the very end.
Batch 2:
As the clock struck 11:15 am, Batch 2 trouped in, brimming with curiosity and enthusiasm. Puja Teacher took the reins, commencing with a comprehensive briefing on the impending assessments. Addressing queries regarding format and grading with patience and clarity, Puja Teacher allayed any apprehensions the students might have harbored.
The session progressed to a fundamental aspect of Marathi language learning: the Barakhadi. Integrating Swar and Vyanjane seamlessly, the teacher elucidated the intricacies of this essential component, augmenting comprehension through practical examples. Introducing the concept of default Swar ‘अ’ (a), the students embarked on a journey of linguistic exploration, creating combinations such as ‘का’ (ka), ‘खा’ (kha), ‘गा’ (ga), and beyond.
In a collaborative endeavor to promote peer learning, the students were divided into groups, each led by a designated team leader. Emphasizing active participation, the teacher tasked the team leaders with articulating and transcribing words, fostering an inclusive learning environment where every voice found resonance.
As the session drew to a close, attendance was duly marked, signifying the collective commitment to continuous learning and growth.
In conclusion, yesterday’s Marathi Shala session epitomized our unwavering dedication to empowering young minds with linguistic proficiency while nurturing a spirit of collaboration and inquiry. We look forward to embarking on many more such enlightening journeys together.
Thank you for your unwavering support and participation.
