Marathi Shala Session Recap: Preparing for Assessments

Marathi Shala Session Recap: Preparing for Assessments

In today’s Marathi Shala session, our primary focus was on preparing and practicing with the students for the upcoming assessments. These assessments are crucial as they cover various aspects such as the students’ names, Marathi Swar (vowels), Vyanjane (consonants), colors, numbers, and Barakhadi (alphabet combinations). The assessments will be conducted in two parts: oral and written, and our dedicated teachers have been diligently working on ensuring the students are well-prepared.

Batch 1:

The morning commenced with Batch 1 Shala starting promptly at 10 am, as the familiar sound of the shala bell rang out. Led by Teacher Amita Ji, the session commenced with a dynamic warm-up activity to energize the students. This was followed by the chanting of the Gurur Bramha Gurur Vishu prayer, which instilled a sense of reverence and focus among the students. Amita Ji then proceeded to guide the students through the Marathi Swar, Vyanjane, different colors, and numbers 1 to 10 in Marathi. This comprehensive practice session aimed to reinforce the students’ understanding and fluency in these fundamental aspects of the language.

Batch 2:

As the clock struck 11:15 am, Batch 2 students arrived for their session. Puja Teacher took charge and immediately delved into practicing the Swar and Vyanjane, focusing on creating words using these components. The students enthusiastically participated in this activity, demonstrating their growing proficiency in constructing words in Marathi.

In the subsequent activity, the students were divided into groups, each comprising two students. The teacher called out Marathi letters, and the students had to write the letter and then come up with words starting with that letter. This exercise not only honed their writing skills but also expanded their vocabulary.

Furthermore, the teacher randomly tested the students on numbers 1 to 20, and it was heartening to see most of the students excel in both reading and writing the numbers.

As the session drew to a close, attendance was taken, marking the end of another productive day at Shala. Looking ahead, next week’s Saturday marks the commencement of our first assessment, where the students will have the opportunity to showcase their learning and progress.

In conclusion, today’s Marathi Shala session was marked by focused preparation and enthusiastic participation from the students. With the assessments on the horizon, we remain committed to supporting our students in their language journey and look forward to witnessing their growth and success.

Thank you to all the parents for your continued support and encouragement.
