This year, we have seen a significant increase in new admissions and a strong interest in learning Marathi and our rich culture. As you know, Marathi Shala is a purely community-driven organization.

To maintain the learning momentum, we request that you support your child by checking their homework, encouraging them to speak in Marathi, and ensuring regular attendance at Shala. With over 10 students on the waiting list, we have decided to move students who miss Marathi Shala more than 4 consecutive weeks to the waiting list, allowing other interested students to join.

We ask for your cooperation to ensure that our scholars attend Shala regularly and engage actively in their learning journey. Our teachers, lead, and volunteers are dedicated to preserving and passing on our Marathi language and cultural heritage to the next generation.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of our plans and initiatives, setting the stage for a successful year ahead. For additional details and to view all the slides from the meeting, please refer to the attached PDF.

The highlight of the day was watching our students engage in the Talyat Malayat (Waters & Land) games, which perfectly exemplify our motto of “Hasat Khelat Shika”.

Next day, Sunday (7/28) was the new student orientation which was fun learning session at Shala was a resounding success (15 new students joined today’s session). It was heartening to see such enthusiastic participation from both students and parents who are passionate about learning Marathi and embracing our rich cultural heritage.
