On January 26th, 2025, Aapli Marathi Shala and Community proudly celebrated India’s 75th Republic Day, honoring the adoption of the Indian Constitution. This significant day was marked with patriotic enthusiasm, cultural learning, and community bonding.

A Day of Learning and Celebration

The event began with our enthusiastic Shala kids reciting Prarthana and Shlokas, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the celebration. The children then participated in an interactive session, learning about the significance of Republic Day and some fun facts about the Indian Constitution. Through engaging discussions, they discovered why January 26th was chosen as Republic Day and how the Constitution serves as the foundation of the world’s largest democracy.

Flag Hoisting & National Anthems

One of the most cherished moments of the day was the flag hoisting ceremony, where we proudly hoisted both the Indian and American flags, symbolizing our deep-rooted heritage and our connection to our new homeland. The atmosphere was filled with pride as everyone came together to sing the Indian National Anthem, Jana Gana Mana, followed by the American National Anthem, showcasing the beautiful cultural harmony that defines our community.

A Special Treat for the Kids

To make the celebration even more memorable, parents brought in special treats for all the kids, adding to the festive spirit. The smiles on the children’s faces as they enjoyed their well-deserved treats truly made the day even more special.
