After the Mid-Term Assessments, yesterday’s Marathi Shala session was a refreshing and engaging learning experience for our students. We had a great turnout, with 27 kids attending Batch 1 and 20 kids attending Batch 2. The session was a perfect blend of cultural learning, language development, and assessments for those who missed the previous week.

Batch 1 – Group 1 Highlights

• The session began with Ganapati Mantra (Vakratunda Mahakay) and Saraswati Mantra in celebration of Maghi Ganesh Jayanti and the upcoming Vasant Panchami on February 2nd. Kids also learned about why Ganapati Bappa loves Modak, an engaging story tied to our rich traditions.
• Academic Learning: Kids were introduced to numbers 11 to 20 (Ank), revised days of the week, family relationships, Swar, and Ka Kha Ga series.
• Language Development: Kids were encouraged to describe pictures and practice general conversations in Marathi.
• Meanwhile, students who missed their assessments last week had a chance to complete them with their teacher.

Batch 1 – Group 2 Highlights

• Recap of Shlokas, Ganesh Aarti, and Yoga poses, reinforcing cultural and physical learning.
• Teachers checked assessment papers with kids, clarified doubts, and explained expected answers.
• Kids who missed last week’s assessment completed their written and oral evaluations.
• A special audio recording for the Management Guru: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Radio Program was conducted.

Batch 2 – Group 2 Highlights

• The session began with Manache Shlok and Pasayadan, reinforcing spiritual learning.
• Teachers facilitated an engaging discussion about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his management skills. Kids actively participated by answering thought-provoking questions.
• Oral and written assessments were conducted for students who missed them last week.
• The session ended with a fun learning game – a side-jumping activity based on words starting with ‘A’ and ‘Aa’, which the kids truly enjoyed!

Manteca Shala Highlights

• Kids focused on Swar and Vyanjane, enhancing their Marathi language skills.
• They learned about Shivaji Maharaj’s exceptional time management skills and prepared a play on the topic.

A Session Full of Learning and Fun!

The entire session was packed with cultural learning, academic progress, and fun activities, keeping the kids engaged and enthusiastic. A big thank you to all the teachers, parents, and volunteers for their continuous support in making Shala a wonderful learning space for our kids.
