🌸 Aapli Marathi Shala – August 22nd Session Recap 🌸

We had yet another successful Shala session filled with learning, fun, and community spirit! This week, 29 kids from Balmandir, Pahili, and Dusari attended, along with 18 students from Tisari and Chauthi. The energy of the kids and parents truly made the day special. Here’s a quick summary of what each class covered and the assigned homework:

👶 Balmandir (बालमंदिर)

The little ones had a fun-filled day, especially welcoming our new students with introductions.

Classwork Covered:

1. Prarthana – GuruBrahma 🙏
2. Shlok – Sada Sarvada Yog
3. Marathi riddles (ओळीकोड्या) to recognize akshar
4. Song – Ek Hoti Idli 🎶
5. Swar practice (स्वर सराव)
6. Writing practice ✍️
7. Basic conversations in Marathi and fun learning games 🎲

✏️ Pahili (पहिली)

Our first-grade kids showed lots of excitement and energy!

Classwork Covered:

1. Aarati – आरती
2. Writing and memory game (letters: क, ख, ग, घ, च, ज, छ)
3. Directions (दिशा – East, West, North, South) – writing in notebooks and games 🌍

Homework (गृहपाठ):
✍️ Write in two lines – क, ख, ग, घ, च, ज

📚 Dusari (दुसरी)

Our second graders enjoyed shlokas, directions, and barakhadi.

Classwork Covered:

1. Sukhakarta Dukhaharta Aarati 🙏
2. Directions (पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर, दक्षिण) – revision and games
3. Barakhadi (बाराखडी) with आकार – का, खा, गा, घा

Homework (गृहपाठ):

• Revise Swar and Vyanjane till ज
• Write 10 times: का, खा, गा, घा

🎓 Tisari & Chauthi (तिसरी आणि चौथी)

The elder kids had a packed session with prayers, shlokas, revision, and fun games!

Classwork Covered:

1. Manache Shlok
2. Pasaydaan
3. Sada Sarvada Shlok
4. Recap of Swar, Vyanjane, Ank (numbers), and Colors
5. Revision by groups:
   • Group 1: Swar & some Vyanjane writing
   • Group 2: Swar + Vyanjane writing and simple words
6. Fun movement game: उजवा (Right), डावा (Left), वर (Up), खाली (Down)

🌟 Overall Experience

The session was filled with enthusiasm, learning, and cultural pride. Our kids not only practiced language but also connected with shlokas, aaratis, and fun games that made learning joyful.
