Yesterday’s Shala session was yet another memorable and joyful learning experience for our kids! 🎉
📌 Attendance: 46 kids at MH Branch and 7 kids at Manteca Branch 👏
✨ The highlight of the day was the distribution of our newly published Marathi Shala books – Balmandir, Pahili & Dusari, Tisari & Chouthi. Every student received their own copy, and even parents who visited only to collect books were filled with pride and happiness. A total of 56 books were distributed. Parents and kids were especially delighted to see the high quality and rich content carefully designed by our Shala teachers and team. 📚💐
Here’s what our kids learned this week:
📖 Balmandir
- Activities: Shlok, Badbad Gite, Fruits (फळे) activity, Swar writing practice.
- Homework: Practice Swar and Badbad Gite at home (refer to Shala book).
📖 Pahili & Dusari
- Dusari: Word making, Kana & Velanti, writing simple sentences.
👉 Homework: Write 3 sentences. - Pahili: Continued with Vyanjane.
👉 Homework: Practice Vyanjane and complete writing.
📖 Tisari & Chouthi
- Tisari: Continued focus on Vyanjane (क–ज्ञ), colors (रंग), days (दिवस), and numbers (अंक).
👉 Homework: Complete Book Page 9. - Advanced group: Began writing simple words; session focused on Sambhashan (conversation) – topic: Ganesh.
👉 Homework: Write 4 sentences in Marathi about Diwali celebration.
📖 Manteca Branch
- Distributed Shala books to kids.
- Focused on Shloks, Swar (complete), Vyanjane (क–ड), numbers, and simple word practice.
🌺 With every session, our Shala is building youth development in both language and culture, helping kids not only learn Marathi but also connect deeply with our traditions and values. This first edition of our books marks a milestone – a proper progression from Balmandir → Pahili → Dusari → Tisari → Chouthi – and will serve as a foundation for years of growth.
